Well, I like it..

From my point of view this game is really good. I think the reason people are giving it low scores is because they are comparing it to some other popular warfare/RPG/other great game.

See this is just a free flash game, and so it will never really be perfect. But for what it is i think it's pretty impressive. It's not easy to make a fully functional flash game, especially with such nice graphics. People should review it for what it is. Not what it could be.

Yes it could be better if you had tons of money, but you don't and I get that. I think it was a very good attempt, and a very popular concept. As I stated above the graphics were wonderful. I really like the moon-like terrain and the bot designs.

As for the two races ( Tridalian, and Idatu) I thought they were equally in balance. See the Tridalian favor speed, while the Idatu favor power. It is fair for the Tridalian to have faster enemies, but that is what makes them better. Same for the Idatu. They're enemies are slow but much more powerful.

The game was based on warfare so I didn't worry to much about the main character upgrades, because to me it's not the hero that matters it's his soldiers. Because the hero cannot survive on his own he needs soldiers to back him up. You could have the most powerful hero ever in the game but it wouldn't matter if all your soldiers sucked. So to me the while upgrading the hero thing didn't bug me at all.

Overall 9/10. I only have but a few suggestions. First is to be able to switch weapons on the hero. For example, the main weapon is a single shooter, then you can switch to another weapon which is automatic (but then you have to collect ammo for it). Also another thing that would be nice is to updgrade individual bots. Like it would be nice to upgrade the speed for the Idatus protos. My last suggestion is to add a third race. A race that has both an equal balance between power and speed. This adds even more fun because then the higher levels can have 3 races all fighting at once, adding difficulty and fun.

Again I know this isn't going to the BEST version of the concept ever, but by making this I think you have shown you have the potential to make great things. Overall 9/10. And please make a sequel. I look forward to it!

Good Game, Unoriginal Concept

Overall it wasn't bad. It was allright, but not great. Hazmat is a basic platformer where you are trying to survive and finish each level as fast as possible. This is a concept similar to many games such as Super Meatboy.

The graphics were decent. I'm a pixel art fan myself. I like how it's more than just solid colors. There are some details as well. I especially like the fan, and laser sprites.

The music suited the game nicely. Not my type of music, but it is the typr of music for this game.

Overall 7/10. The actual game, I thought, was very easy. Although it is very difficult to get all 3 stars on each level. It would have been batter if you had added your own little twist to it. Like for example, "You need to get to the code of the nuclear plant in order to prevent a giant nuclear explosion" or something interesting like that.

I look forward to more good games! :)

Very cool game

I don't think it's much of a knock off at all. The way I see it is like "Super meat boy". It's similar to mario, but it's much more difficult. This is one of those games that is so awesome, but too difficult for noobish people so they retaliate by giving it a low score and coming up with a cruddy excuse for why they couldn't win. I liked it. It's a good game.

Well it isn't different from Mario just because it's hard... the Mario series itself has at least one super hard game (SMB2jp). Admittedly Lastman3 is Mario inspired but there's tons of functionality differences.... skills learned in Mario do not apply to Lastman3 anymore than they would apply to S.MeatBoy or Umihara Kawase or Atlantis no Nazo (although if you're skilled at platforming in Atlantis no Nazo it may help somewhat at Lastman3).

Very cool

I have grew up with pokemon, and always loved it. I think pokemon are the best thing that ever happened. Nice game 10/10

The only thing I want to point out is you only need 150 pokemon to get the medal, but their are 151 pokemon in your pokedex. Not sure if this is a glitch, but I think you should have to get 151 pokemon to get get that last medal, not 150.

Meh, not bad.

I thought your game was allright. The grpahics were really kinda cruddy, I mean even with pixels, they could have been better. I liked the story-line but I didn't really like the gameplay. Level 1 was really hard, and the game itself is really tough to beat. I think in the beginning the difficulty should be a bit lower. The colors and effects were cool. The powerups helped with the game, but there weren't nearly enough.

P.S. To the person below me, the title screen says

"WARNING: This game contains rapidly flashing colors and images. Play at your own risk."

so there should be no reason to give it a low score due to the colors. There is a warning, and so if a person plays this and gets a seizure it is their fault, not the programmers fault.

Yet another good game review

Ok so here's my opinion. First off I noticed alot of people gave it a bad score due to the simplistic gameplay. That is part of the reason I gave it an 8 but not the whole reason. I will start with the art. Honestly it wasn't that good. Now I'm not trying to compare you to like a five star animator, but I do think you could have done better. Blocks and circles can easily be made with a shape tool, and the "shading" was just squiggly lines in a lighter shade of the same color. I think artistically speaking the graphics could be much better, and I think perhaps in the next game they will be.
Next up, music and sound effects. I gotta admit I did like the music, but I don't think it was right for this game. See the music is really deep and meaningful, and this game is silly and fun. I think the music should be something a little more up-beat. As for the sound effects the pig was good, and the so were most of the other ones. The only one I really didn't like was the fireworks. I don't think they really sounded like fireworks, just drum beats.
Lastly, gameplay. I thought it was very easy, and so I won't really judge you on it, also because I read that there will be harder levels coming out soon. I thought you did an excellent job with the programming. The game ran very smooth, and the animations were great. I liked especially how the pigs eyes followed the potion. I thought the actual game itself was original and creative.
Overall I really liked it, and I think it definitely deserved front page. I can see by your efforts that you are a good game maker, and will continue to improve. I liked this game, and I like your style :)

YES.

I was playing this the other day on your website and I was so excited. I really can't wait for the video game either. Both are EPIC.

Review time...

The game was good. The music was light, yet thrilling it made you want to keep exploring. The graphics were decent, I think it would have been 10X better if there was more facial expression. I mean throughout the whole game the nail was smiling, but I wouldn't be smiling if I couldn't found my friend, or evil hammers were attacking me. You lost 2 stars on the storyline. It was a good idea but I don't feel like you followed through on the whole story. For example, Why do they need Mr. Magnet?, or what happens afterward? Did the nails win? There really is no clear explanation. The other star was because of the lack of difficulty. I thought the game was really easy, and I didn't even really have to try to win. In my opinion I think there should be a sequel that further explains the story, and shows the outcome of the battle. Over 7/10

One question

I liked the game itself it was interesting, but what exactly was the back-story? It seems as if some random guy entered a dark castle and just killed all the nice evil people for no reason...

I see....

Ok review time. Over-all I liked it. It was fun, addicting, had good sound, and good art, BUT!!! While it is all of the above I do think it would much better as an I-Phone application, rather than a flash game. I say this because the idea of devouring everything smaller than you has been done many times. It's one of those classic game ideas that never go out of style, like tetris. I think it will do much better in the I-store than on Newgrounds.
